Valerie Anne Bertinelli was born in America. She's both an actress as well as a writer. The twice Golden Globe Award winning star gained notoriety by playing the role in the CBS show One Day at a Time in the role of Barbara, and Hot in Cleveland in which she played Melanie Moretti. Her career as an actress began as an adolescent. Her career has evolved into a well-seasoned character actress. When she was a young girl, her friendship that she had with the daughter of a TV producer sparked a lifelong love of the industry. Bertinelli decided then to pursue acting as a profession. Bertinelli made her debut on television following her time at Tami Lynn School of Artists. Fast forward to the present, her confidence and excellent acting skills helped Bertinelli to establish a niche herself as known as a well-known TV star. The rocky life she led was well-known as were her battles with addiction and other problems. But she worked for years to overcome the challenges and to reclaim her living. Through the pages of her New York Times Best-Selling Books she has narrated the struggles of her difficult life. Her current work is hosting her cooking show Kids Baking Championship.
