Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican American broadcaster. She hosts SportsNation and serves as a SportsCenter anchor. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from age nine. Her ability was crucial in securing her first position as production assistant for Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then it was announced that the CBS station in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. Then, in 2009 the news reporter relocated to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. She covered stories about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking in both Texas and Mexico. The station also frequently asked her to be anchors for the weather and sports. Later, she was anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her larger responsibilities. She wrote pieces on the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She held the same position as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents hail of Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November in 1985. There is an older sister. The family moved from Mexico to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. In 1992, her parents separated soon after. In 1995, she got married again Fabio Fajardo, an engineer in the naval sector who died in 2006 from kidney cancer. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the younger Collins was able to take a job along with her sister. Antonietta who was in high school who had a vision of how she wanted her future to look like, traveled to Mount Union University to see whether the university was suitable for her. The campus was beautiful as well as offered the level of education she sought. After high school, she graduated and began studying media at the university. Her relationship lasted for a while with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a member. He was the one who boosted her confidence, and his passion for journalism deeply touched her. She was determined to exceed his expectations and never let him down.
